TECHBUREAU is a Ukrainian non-profit working with startups and small and medium businesses on growth through education, financing and export support. Every program for beneficiaries is equity-free.

Designed in 2021 with USAID CEP, Ukrposhta and Diia.Business, then reimagined in February 2022 as financial support for micro, small and medium businesses in wartime. We built a dedicated portal to handle the volume and ran a competitive, partner-led selection: from 3,347 applications, 100 companies each received $1,000 to keep their businesses moving.

A nationwide program for Ukrainian businesses ready to begin exporting with Etsy. 500 participants joined an eight-week course of expert-led seminars and one-on-one mentorship, and participants also received micro-grants. Free and equity-free.

What began as Startup Grind Kyiv, a community of meetups for founders, grew into Ukraine’s first delegation to Startup Grind Global in 2020. Missions continued to Startup Grind Global in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and to SXSW in 2022, 2023 and 2024, opening major US ecosystems to Ukrainian founders. Delegations showcased 50+ innovative companies, made official visits to Stanford, Berkeley, Plug and Play, Google and others, and ran multiple side events with venture investors, creating access to investment, international sales and new partnerships.
